Felicity Leahy, founder of Spa Genesis, began her professional career in Australia accumulating more than 17 years experience in spa, wellness and medical aesthetics. Felicity holds professional international diplomas in beauty therapy and health science, and a BA (Honours) degree in business with economics.

Felicity first established her career working in a variety of award-winning and diamond status salons and spas before progressing in the medical aesthetics sector. She trained in laser, IPL, microdermabrasion, phlebotomy and advanced skin treatments, 

As well as benefiting from a diverse training in an array of advanced techniques, Felicity increasingly took on responsible educational roles as she developed her skills as a trainer and educator. From college lecturering, Felicity progressed to senior training roles in a number of premier international skincare companies, and teaching beauty professionals in some of the most elite spas in the world, including Reids Palace (Madeira).

The next stage of professional development led Felicity into business development. Following highly successful sales achievements throughout the UK and Southern Ireland, she accumulated a wealth of experience across a wide range of territories and cultures. Felicity set up and then managed buiness accounts throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic states, Turkey, Cyprus, Africa and the Far East.

During her travels, Felicity has experienced spa concepts from other cultural perspectives. Every culture, presents a different style of spa journey and experience. Furthermore, each culture presenting its own

challenges and opportunities, allows a cross-filtering of information that richly contributes to the planning opportunities for enhanced strategies in any spa business.

Drawing upon her rich professional career, Felicity has had a very direct involvement in many businesses and has successfully implemented unique concepts into major skin and beauty brands, salons and world-renowned spas. Her many strengths include an in-depth understanding of the business workings, alongside an appreciation of the journey sought by an internationally discerning clientele. Furthermore, she has a passion for the value to a business of proper staff education and training, alongside the proven ability to open new international markets, thereby widening the audience of businesses in new territories.

Felicity currently sits on the board of directors of the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC) and Confederation of International Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (CIBTAC). She is soon to further progress her business education with an Executive MBA program at Hult International Business School.
